Thurrock defeat London Cornish

Thurrocks 1st XV defeated London Cornish 64-20 on Saturday to continue their good recent run of form. It was a fitting tribute as they honoured the memory of club stalwart Martin Fahey, presenting his grandson, Reuben with a signed Match ball afterwards.

Thurrock ran in a total of 9 tries with scores coming from Jake Barrand(2), Joss Nunn(2), Niall Clifford(2), Chris Shorter, Darryl Worster & Tom Pool. Barrand also kicked 8 out of the 9 conversions as well as a penalty for a personal haul of 29 points bringing his Thurrock career total to a staggering 900 points.

The 2nd XV were also successful as they defeated Colchester 2nds 36-17 with tries coming from Kye Holloway(2), Matt Siddle, Alex Jones & Phil Kemp. The other points all came from the boot of Matt Siddle.

The Mongrels 'A' game against Campion 2nds was unfortunately abandoned.

Full match report & highlights to follow in the week.
