The game finally went ahead at third attempt after it fell to the snow the previous twice.
Both teams agreed to play the game on Thursday evening to save their Easter break.
It was a must win game for both sides and as expected it was a tight affair with Thurrock making most of the plays and all either side could muster was a penalty each. Jake Barrand being successful with his penalty to change ends at 3-3
The game changed when the visitors made a break through the Thurrock defence, support was on hand and looked like a fantastic cover tackle by Freddie Russo, only for the referee to deem it high and award a penalty try
This spurred the home side on and within five minutes pressure paid with Ben Timson going over and Barrand adding the conversion to draw level. Thurrock kept the momentum up and took the lead when Timson turned provider for Dritan Loka to score and Barrand added the conversion and the a penalty to extend the lead to 10 points which Thurrock held on to and closed the game out and held on for a four point victory
