Plymouth have come up from the League below as part of the League reorganisation, but on the evidence of 3 losses in their first 3 games, they have a long way to go.
With a large number of injuries and unavailable, this was an unfamiliar looking T-Bird team, but all the new faces stepped up to the plate and fitted in like clockwork.
With only 14 fit players confirmed on Friday, some old faces dusted off the boots to fill the squad.
I wrote last week that the T-Birds were struggling to find their mojo, but this was a far more assured performance, despite leaving at least 20 points on the pitch!
Ts dominated every facet of the game and Plymouth’s only score came from a Thurrock mistake. Plymouth were well organised but lacked the nous to slow the rampaging T-Birds down.
With hat tricks for Dyche, Harvey and Tyler the game saw 6 trys in the first half and 7 in the second. Captain Georgie Cook kicked 9 out of 12 conversions to give a final score of 85-7 to once again put T-Birds top of Championship south.
With a welcome week off, T’s will travel to Cheltenham on Saturday 7th October to play second in the table in a rare Saturday fixture, hopefully with everyone fit and available..
