The Rugby Club

The club has 3 full size pitches, as well as a full size AGP pitch installed in 2022 at the OHA school. The club also has access to 1 more full size, and mini/junior pitches on King George Playing Fields at Blackshots Park.

There are 7 changing rooms in the main building and 2 new high standard large premiership standard changing rooms in the new OHA school area, along with a large shower area. It is suitable for large or small tournaments and hosts a mini festival of some 40 teams each year.

The main first team and AGP pitch have full floodlighting, and may be booked subject to our usage. The second and mini youth pitches also have training lights.

In the off-season the club has also hosted 'On the Ropes' Boxing event, a National Kabaddi Tournament (Barking Kabaddi club) and Camping/Festival events and End of Year parties in Marquees.

Main Hall

The Main Hall is available for hire during the daytime or evenings subject to our own usage. It can accommodate up to 200 for a buffet type function, and can seat 120 for a formal sit down meal. The club is able to able to offer bespoke packages and has recently hosted Birthdays, Weddings, Engagements, Anniversaries, Gender Reveal, Christenings, Fund Raisers and many more.

There is a newly installed kitchen with modern facilities, 2 large commercial ovens, 8 gas hobs, dishwasher, and a large separate preparation room.

The main bar also has Sky TV and a Large Screen with projector, speakers and microphones if needed.

There is also a small stage for DJ’s and small live performances. Alternatively you can plug your phone in to the speakers and play music from Spotify.

Hire of the Main Hall Starts from £200, but price will depend on the nature of the event and individual requirements, specifically:
• Time of Event
• Number of guests (how many bar staff are needed)
• Door security requirements
• Catering or Kitchen requirements and usage of any other club facilities

Lounge (Snug)

The Lounge has been refurbished to a high standard and will seat 50 in complete comfort. It has an integral bar and has Sky TV.

Thursday - 12:00-23:00
Friday - 18:00-23:00
Saturday - 10:00-23:00
Sunday - 12:00-17:00 (19:00 if Ladies at Home)

The main bar offers a complete range of drinks including real ales, lagers, Guinness, Cider - all on draught, and an extensive range of spirits and bottled drinks to suit all age ranges.

Bar staff can be provided for events according to the numbers attending. The bar and the buildings in general have public liability insurance provided by the RFU, and comply with all local fire regulations.

A new bar is currently being built within the OHA building which will offer premium matchday experiences and views. More to come on this in the future!

Sky Sports/BT Sports at TRFC

Both Sky Sports, and BT Sports are available on the screens in both bars. Selected Boxing matches are shown also, where there's demand.

Squash Courts

The club has 2 squash courts, each with a viewing gallery. Separate changing and showering facilities for the squash participants, are also available, apart from the main changing facilities. TRFC is also the home of Thurrock Squash Club who play matches on Wednesdays.

Prices of squash court hire start at £3 for Members, and £5 for non-members for a token which allows you 45 minutes of play. Tokens can be purchased at the bar.

Disabled / Baby Changing Facilities

A full disabled toilet and wash room with baby-changing facilities is available on request.

Committee / Meeting Room

The club has a sizeable meeting room. It can accommodate approx. 20 persons for a formal tabled meeting or 30 for a ‘lecture style’ meeting. A TV and Video/ DVD are available for use. Wired or Wireless Internet is also available on request.

Club Shop

Clubhouse Shop
The clubhouse shop is next to the ladies toilets and open at request. Please contact Claire Love or Ken Laybourn to request (usually available on Sunday Mornings, and Tuesday/Thursday Evenings).
