After a league-winning 2025/26 season, Thurrock are back in action as a mixed senior squad makes the short trip to Romford RFC on Friday night for our first pre-season fixture.
Head Coach Andy Yarrow is looking forward to seeing the hard work of pre-season put into action:
“And just like that, rugby is back! We’re taking a large mixed squad to Romford, rewarding those who have trained consistently throughout pre-season.
We’ve invested a lot of time in our youth and I’m looking forward to seeing how a number of them get on with this exposure.
It’s always fun to go to Romford. They get a big crowd and the Friday Night Lights will just give it that added energy. Hopefully we can get a fair few Thurrock supporters over too!”
It’s the first opportunity to see the squad in action ahead of the new campaign, with a mixture of senior players and some of the club’s exciting young talent set to pull on the black and white.
