Wins for the 1sts, 3rds and T-Birds plus a 1 point defeat for 2nds!!

A great weekend for Thurrock Rugby Club saw wins for 3 of the Senior teams.

The 1st XV were victorious in a titanic battle against promotion chasing Brighton in what was Ts first ever league win over the visitors beating them 24-22.

Former England 7s player, Sam Stanley slotted the match winning conversion with the last kick of the game after Tani Loka had dotted down for his 2nd try of the game following some sustained Thurrock pressure in the final few minutes. Darryl Worster carried on his recent try scoring form by grabbing Ts other score with Stanley adding 2 more conversions as well as his 2nd drop goal in as many games.

The T-birds won their 2nd consecutive cup game on Sunday as they beat Lichfield Ladies 19-5. 2 tries for Captain India Harvey as well a try for the impressive Lizell Heather helped to secure the victory. Heather also added 2 conversions to set the ladies up nicely for their next cup game in a fortnights time.

The 3rd XV were also successful in a high scoring game against local rivals Brentwood winning 56-39. Dalton Carter impressed at Fly half grabbing himself 4 tries. Nathan Dine got 2 more tries as well as scores for the returning Andy McAllister and Aaron Crooks.

The 2nds however faced defeat against their Brentwood counterparts as they went down 27-26. A Ben Stanley Hatrick wasn't enough to beat the table topping local rivals with Ts other score coming from Kye Holloway. James Millsom added 2 conversions with Matt Siddle also adding the final conversion
