Thurrock's Mens 1st XV sealed the Counties 1 Essex title on Saturday with a commanding win over Stanford, confirming an immediate return to Level 6 at the first time of asking following last season’s relegation.

In front of a bumper crowd at Oakfield, Ts delivered a performance worthy of champions – clinical, physical, and relentless from start to finish.

Once again, it was Harry Reynolds who stole the headlines. The in-form back produced a scintillating display, crossing for four tries to take his remarkable tally to 20 tries in just 7 games – a run of form that has been central to Thurrock’s title charge in recent weeks.

He was far from alone on the scoresheet, with Jack Cowman, Nat Farrell, Charlie Chitty, Leo McCarthy and Jake Jones all adding tries in a complete team performance that showcased Thurrock’s attacking depth and cohesion.

From the opening whistle, Ts imposed themselves on the game, combining forward dominance with sharp execution in the backs. Credit to Stanford who played their part in a hugely entertaining game.
