Rugby sometimes can be a hard game to get your just rewards as Brighton landed 2 late converted tries to secure victory when a moment of unsporting like behaviour went un-punished.
The score was very close with Brighton leading by 20-14 when Dylan Fearon made a fantastic break. With support on the inside a Brighton player was shouting for the ball which went to him, although the referee gave a penalty it deserved a yellow card, and Thurrock’s attack came to no avail. The referee was at the at the center of more controversy when he missed a forward pass and Dan Carey being man-handled off the ball. Both of these incidents lead to tries.
Earlier Thurrock had scored tries through Tom Pool, following slick hands from Dan Stone & Nathan Farrell and a second from Jake Bedding after the forwards had won a scrum against the head. Both converted by Sam Stanley, with the first being a lovely touchline conversion. Brighton went in at the break 15-14 up following a late penalty
It was another nearly performance and soon someone will suffer the backlash when this team gets it right
