The pack were dominant throughout despite being 1 or 2 men down for most of the game. Rob Murphy picking up and linking with the backs was a delightful sight for Thurrock supporters.
A simplified lineout was effective and Thurrock won most of their own ball.

Despite a bizarre try scored by Brentwood when the referee made a total howler, Thurrock kept in the game despite being down to 13 for the majority of the game.
With Brentwood leading by 3 points with 5 minutes to go, Thurrock decided how they were going to win the game and then proceeded to do it. Fraser Kidd finished off a backs move after another solid 6 man scrum to win the game, with Blaine scoring the conversion to make the final score 27-31 to the visitors. An incredible effort by all the lads, quality from the backs and some real dog from the forwards.
