Sunday saw the T-Birds gain revenge against rivals Bath following the defeat to the visitors earlier in the season.
A good day all round for the ladies saw them put in a structured, fast paced first half that Bath had no answer to. The first half performance was enough to earn a victory and climb back into the top 3. The bonus point was wrapped up in a 2nd half performance that highlighted the girls defensive patterns.
The T-Birds tries came from Ellie Lawther, India Harvey (c), Lizell Heather, Annalise Kerley & Niketa Akintade with Heather also adding 2 conversions.
Head Coach Andy Yarrow had the following to say following the victory: "We have worked the girls tirelessly in training the last month or so & its amazing to see the attacking structures being put into practice so successfully.
We have stepped up the last 2 games & put ourselves right back in the title picture. We need to keep this momentum moving forward.
The first half tempo was outstanding today to get a bonue point win against a Bath side who caused us so many problems earlier this season just highlights how far the sqaud have come."
Next week T-Birds travel to Swindon to face bottom side Supermarine who have been improving in their results week by week. Thurrock will aim to come away with another bonus point win and close in on the top 2 in the Championship
